The Sports Information Assistant is responsible for tracking and logging all game day statistics for athletic events including soccer and lacrosse games. This position reports to the Senior Director of Student Engagement.


  • Track live statistics using PrestoSports software for soccer and lacrosse during home games. Exchange statistics electronically with opponents, conference and NJCAA
  • Arrange set-up and breakdown of computer equipment for collection of in-game statistics
  • Other duties as assigned


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of related work experience
  • Knowledge of NJCAA/MDJUCO game rules for soccer and lacrosse
  • Knowledge of PrestoSports statistics software
  • Knowledge and skill related to athletic record-keeping and statistics
  • Ability to identify plays, goals, and attempts that occur during events
  • Ability to use PrestoSports statistics software
  • Ability to watch, interpret, and understand game events through visual and audio cues
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use computers for data entry
  • Must be positive, cooperative, and supportive.

The work normally requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: 
  • Hear/talk/communicate – Must be able to exchange information and communicate
  • Visual acuity - Ability to perceive or detect surroundings
  • Mental acuity – Able to focus, concentrate, understand, and convey subject matter
  • Repetitive motion (i.e. keyboarding)
  • Stand/sit/walk - Able to move or traverse from one area to another, stand for long periods of time and move equipment as instructed.


College campus, outdoor/indoor sports’ venues, athletic training facility, travel to sports events/games as required.  Use of safe workplace practices with equipment; computers for data entry and word processing; avoidance of trips and falls; observance of fire, building and other safety regulations; and College policies.  Observance of traffic laws when/if driving a College vehicle.
