Holocaust Survivor to Speak at Carroll Community College
Leo Bretholz, a Holocaust survivor and author of Leap Into Darkness, will speak on "A Time to Remember" on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Carroll Community College . The presentation is being held during Holocaust Remembrance Week. The lecture will be held in the Theater in the Scott Center and is free and open to the public.
Bretholz will share his poignant and riveting story of how he escaped from the Nazis seven times during his almost seven-year ordeal, while crisscrossing war-torn Europe. Bretholz arrived in the United States in 1947 and settled in Baltimore, where he worked in the textile business and then as a bookseller for many years. Bretholz continues to speak about his ordeal to a wide range of audiences across the country.
A book signing will be held immediately following the lecture and discussion.
