There is Still Time to Register for Summer!Kids@Carroll

Westminster, Md., April 1, 2009 - It's not too late to register for Summer!Kids@Carroll at Carroll Community College. Parents of children ages three to thirteen are invited to explore the brand new and popular returning camps offered. The program features over 100 half-day and full-day programs from June 15 through Aug. 14, 2009.

Summer!Kids@Carroll is a day camp licensed by the Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

Summer fun blended with learning makes Summer!Kids@Carroll especially attractive to Carroll County families. Each year, new featured camps offer a fresh variety of stimulating and engaging programs. Many camps are returning this year by popular demand. The Kids for Peace program, for example, fosters an understanding and appreciation of the many people who live on our diverse planet. Children explore cultures around the world through a variety of fascinating and fun activities and field trips.

Carroll Community College carefully selects instructors who offer professional expertise on a range of topics of interest to pre-school, elementary, and middle school youth. Instructors are known for their enthusiasm, creativity, and knowledge base. Trained supervisory staff is available in the early morning and late afternoon for children age six and up to accommodate work schedules. There is an additional weekly charge for these start-up and wind-down times.

Parents can register their children for any combination of classes and are not required to enroll for the entire summer or for a whole day. Half-day programs run from 9 a.m. to 12 noon or from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Full-day programs include a supervised lunch period.

The 2009 Summer!Kids@Caroll schedule has a complete listing of programs and activities. Call Continuing Education & Training at 410-386-8100 to have it mailed to you, or visit to see the complete schedule.
