Carroll Community College Adult Education Program Events Announced

Westminster, Md., Carroll Community College offers evening GED preparation classes in Taneytown.  An orientation will be held the week of Aug. 30 at 99 Kings Drive, Taneytown, MD  21787. An appointment is required; please call 410-386-2550 to schedule pre-testing.
Carroll Community College announces registration for fall Family Literacy classes.  Free classes are open to parents interested in pursuing a high school diploma.  Early childhood education is available for children of participating parents.  Registration will be held at Human Services Program's Family Center the week of Sept. 13.   
The Carroll Community College Adult Education program will offer the official G.E.D practice test at the college on 1601 Washington Road on Sept. 25, 2010 at 8:30 a.m. The cost is $20. The practice test is half the length of the actual G.E.D. test. Students receive their scores on test day.
Carroll Community College offers daytime and evening GED Preparation classes and the National External Diploma Program. Both lead to a high school diploma.  A free orientation for both programs will be held the weeks of Sept. 20 and Sept. 27 at 224 North Center Street, Westminster, MD  21157.  Financial assistance is available for students who qualify.  Please call 410-386-2550 to register for an Orientation session.
Carroll Community College offers daytime and evening English classes for speakers of other languages in Westminster.  Classes cover basic reading, writing and speaking skills; students also learn about computers and community resources and activities. Classes are offered at no charge.  Registration sessions will be held at the Adult Education Offices at 224 North Center on Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 6:30 pm and Friday, Oct. 1 at 8:30 am.
