Carroll Community College Associate President named to 2024 Top 100 Women in Maryland list

Westminster, MD ─  In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the community and professional excellence, Dr. Rose Mince, Associate President at Carroll Community College (Carroll), has been named on the 2024 Top 100 Women in Maryland by The Daily Record.

In its 29th year, Maryland’s Top 100 Women was founded to recognize outstanding achievements by women demonstrated through professional accomplishments, community leadership, and mentoring.

“The 2024 Maryland’s Top 100 Women honorees inspire innovation, celebrate success, and support the next generation of leaders in a multitude of industries and backgrounds across the state,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, managing director of BridgeTower Media/The Daily Record. “The Circle of Excellence inductees have demonstrated extraordinary achievements over the years and are role models for all. This prestigious nomination underscores Dr. Mince’s unwavering commitment to excellence and leadership in education, as well as her significant impact on the local community. As a nominee, she joins an elite group of women who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and dedication across various sectors.

Throughout her career, Dr. Mince has consistently exemplified the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and service. Her dedication to making a positive difference in student’s lives has earned her widespread respect and admiration among her peers and community members alike.

From her influential role as the Provost and now Associate President to her active participation in statewide transfer initiatives, the National Council of Instructional Administrators, and as a peer evaluator for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, Dr. Mince has continuously shown her commitment to empowering others and driving positive change.

Upon receiving news of her nomination, Dr. Mince expressed gratitude for the recognition and emphasized her ongoing dedication to serving as a catalyst for positive change.

“I have been afforded many wonderful opportunities to help shape the lives of others. Throughout my career, it has been my privilege and pleasure to advocate for students, mentor colleagues, and advance higher education,” she said.

The final list of honorees for the 2024 Top 100 Women in Maryland Award will be announced at a special ceremony on May 6, during which recipients will be celebrated for their remarkable achievements and contributions.
