Carroll Community College Announces Adult Education Events for January

Westminster, Md., Carroll Community College (Carroll) Adult Education Program offers classes for speakers of other languages, family literacy classes, and high school diploma programs for adults.  Several programs are being offered this January.

Free registration for English classes for speakers of other languages will be held on Jan. 9 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The location is 224 North Center Street, Westminster, Md. 21157. Participants are asked to plan to stay for the entire registration and information session. English classes offer basic reading, writing and speaking skills. Students also learn about computers and community resources and activities. Beginning and intermediate level classes are offered at no charge. Free registration for family literacy classes for those who are interested in improving their English language skills will be held on Jan. 15 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The location is 10 Distillery Drive, Westminster, Md., 21157. Participants are asked to stay for the entire registration and information session. Early childhood education is available for children of participating parents.
