Kindness Day at Carroll is a family-friendly event created for students, employees, and local residents of all ages. Whether you’re looking to give back, enjoy some fun with the kids, or connect with your community, this event is for you. Hosted by Carroll staff in partnership with local organizations, Kindness Day is all about coming together to make a positive impact—one small act at a time.

Kindness Day Activities

Help Us Stuff the Truck!

We’re on a mission to pack Carroll’s CDL truck full of kindness for the upcoming holiday season. Spread some kindness of your own by bringing donations to help support the Carroll community!

We are collecting nonperishable food items and hygiene products to benefit the Carroll Food Locker, a basic-needs pantry on campus for students and employees in need. Bring as much or as little as you’re able. Every donation is appreciated! 

Suggested hygiene items include:

  • Deodorant
  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
  • Lotion
  • Toothpaste
  • Soap
  • Body wash
  • Diapers
  • Toilet paper
  • Mouthwash

Suggested food items include:

  • Pasta
  • Sauce
  • Juice boxes
  • Canned vegetables

 

  • Canned meats (tuna, chicken, etc.)
  • Spices
  • Condiments
  • Ready-to-eat meals
  • Snack-size packs (Goldfish, pretzels, fruit snacks, etc.)
  • Granola & protein bars
  • Cereal
  • Canned fruit or fruit cups

Everyone who brings a donation will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win tickets to visit Hershey Park! Tickets are valid through December 31, 2025.

Activities for Kids

  • Performances & demonstrations from Theatricks! Kids will also have opportunities to learn some skills of their own, like juggling.
  • Paint kindness rocks.
  • Decorate the sidewalk with messages to spread kindness.
  • Get a photo with Lightning the Lynx.

Enjoy Local Food

Food will be available to purchase from Wetzel’s Pretzels and It’s All Good food trucks.

Helping Those in Need

The Carroll Food Locker Program (CFLP) offers grocery assistance to Carroll Community College faculty, staff, and students.
