Campus Alert

The Carroll Food Locker Program (CFLP) offers grocery assistance to Carroll Community College faculty, staff and students. Whether you are experiencing food insecurity or using the Food Locker to save money for something else, we’re here as a resource for all employees and students.

The Food Locker is a Distribution Partner of the Maryland Food Bank which allows us to receive 1,500 pounds of food per month. Other community partners include the Carroll Community College Foundation, Shepherd’s Staff, Lion’s Club, Westminster Rescue Mission and the MCQE Mobile Pet Pantry. We also accept donations from faculty, staff and students.

All students, credit and non-credit, who are registered for the current semester and current faculty and staff are able to participate. No financial information is required to determine eligibility.

You will need to complete an information/waiver form. This simple one-page form requires your College ID number and some basic demographic information. No name or financial information is asked. However, a signature is required for the waiver.

Once you have been determined eligible, you will receive a Food Locker ID number and card, which you must present at food pick-up.

The registration process is repeated at the start of every new term.

Food items vary week to week but primarily consist of frozen meats, produce, dairy items, soup, cereal, pasta and many other nonperishables. There is quite a variety of food represented in limited quantities, such as organic and ethnic foods.

Thanks to a partnership with the MCQE Mobile Pet Pantry, we offer a small quantity of pet supplies. We have a new partnership with Carroll Baby which provides a limited quantity of diapers, wipes, and pull-ups.

The Food Locker is located on the lower level of the Great Hall in A002, under the stairs and across from the vending machines.

The Food Locker has new hours starting in January 2024.
