Extracurricular Opportunities for Cyber Students

Cybersecurity Teacher Assistant (TA) Program 
Carroll Cybersecurity students can apply to work as a TA in many of the cybersecurity classes on campus. As a TA, you’ll gain additional experience while you help other students. 

Cybersecurity Lab Technician Positions 
At Carroll, students have the opportunity to support the cybersecurity labs that they use. As cyber lab technicians, students install and maintain the actual equipment that they use in their own classes. 

Information Systems Security Association Memberships 
In partnership with ISSA Central Maryland, Carroll students can participate in professional networking activities and events as official student members of the cybersecurity professional association ISSA Central Maryland. 

Carroll Technology and Innovation Council Memberships 
In partnership with the Carroll Technology and Innovation Council (CTIC), Carroll students can participate in events and activities as official student members of the CTIC. 

Live BCR Cyber Range 
Carroll students have access to a live cyber range and cyber range training right on campus! Learn how to detect and mitigate cyber attacks in this live range environment. 

Capture the Flag Team 
Carroll students participate in Capture the Flag and Hackathon competitions across the region. 

Cybersecurity Student Club 
Get involved and build leadership skills! Cyber students at Carroll can join the College’s cybersecurity student club, where students participate in a variety of on and off campus cyber-related experiences.

Cybersecurity and AI Clinic 
In this advanced program, students learn cybersecurity vulnerability assessment techniques and go live on site for a real assessment, under the supervision of actual cyber professionals. 

Applied Cybersecurity Career Accelerator (ACCA) 
An intensive, hands-on career pathway for motivated students who want to go beyond the Cybersecurity A.A.S. curriculum and graduate with a clear competitive advantage in the cybersecurity job market.
