Steps to Admission

For those taking one or two Classes, but not pursuing a Degree from Carroll


  1. Set up your college account

    Your account must be set up before proceeding. You will receive an email from the College within 24 hours of your application being accepted with instructions for setting up your account.
    • If you don’t receive the email, check your junk/SPAM folder.
    • If you still can’t find your account setup email, call Admissions at 410-386-8430.
    • If you need help with account or multi-factor authentication setup, call the IT HelpDesk at (410) 386-8060
  2. Send your transcripts

    Send your high school transcript (if graduated within 5 years) or college transcript(s) and any applicable test scores to admissions@carrollcc.edu.
  3. Check Course Placement & Eligibility

    Click the link above to determine if placement testing is necessary. Many students place with their high school GPA, SAT/ACT test scores, or college coursework.
  4. Contact the Advising Office to schedule an appointment.

    Call at 410-386-8435 to make your appointment. You will meet with an advisor who will help you register for your courses. Prior to your meeting, view classes offered for the upcoming semester.
  5. Prepare for Class
    • Preview your classes in Canvas one week before classes begin and make any schedule adjustments before attending.
    • Buy your books.
  6. Go to your classes the first day they meet.

    Attending the first class and having the required books and supplies is crucial for starting off on the right foot. Meet your professors. Make new friends. Learn and grow.
