Empowering Entrepreneurs in Carroll County

Executive Summary

Miller: Resources for Entrepreneurs facilitated the launch of one new business and welcomed 14 new clients from around the county including Westminster, Hampstead, and Mt. Airy.

Reaching out to young entrepreneurs in the county, Miller held its’ Shark Tank Make Believe workshop in December hosting 7 students from Francis Scott Key High School and 25 Carroll Community College credit students.  Students worked in teams to create a new business and prepare their 5-minute pitch presentation.

Miller also presented Business Essentials & Fundamentals to Carroll’s drone students completing their Foundations of Aerial Photo and Data class.

More than 1,000 guests strolled and shopped the second annual Winter Market on Dec. 14 where 75 local small businesses offered their goods.
