Mediation is a conflict resolution process offered at no cost to the Carroll County community that can be utilized for a variety of conflicts at any stage of a dispute.

Mediations can occur daytime, evenings and weekends in two-hour increments at our office or at locations throughout Carroll County

Types of mediation services offered include:

  • Neighbors
  • Neighborhood organizations
  • Youth-adult neighborhood conflicts
  • Landlord/tenant

  • Parents and their teenage child/children
  • Sibling conflicts
  • Parenting plans (custody and visitation agreements)
  • Caring for an older family member
  • Husband and wife conflicts
  • Veterans returning from service transitioning back into the family
  • Probate process
  • Strained relationships and friendships
  • Roommate disputes
  • Conflict between boyfriend and girlfriend or partners
  • Employment disputes
  • Coworker conflicts
  • Businesses and their customers
  • Businesses and their surrounding neighbors
  • Students and teachers
  • Students in conflict with each other
  • Parents in conflict with the school
  • Attendance issues
  • Conflicts where the police have been called
  • Conflicts where criminal charges have been filed for a misdemeanor crime
  • People leaving prison and dealing with conflict, or making plans for their release with family or friends (mediation can take place inside the facility)
  • People leaving a residential treatment program or in recovery
