    Matching Gifts

Double the power of your personal giving and check with your employer or other organizations with which you are affiliated with as to whether they offer a matching gift program.

    Gifts of Securities

Gifts of appreciated mutual funds, stocks and certain bonds may enable donors to contribute a larger gift at less cost.  Transferring gifts of securities, stocks and bond to the Foundation is easy and can provide significant tax benefits through income tax reduction as well as elimination of capital gains taxes!  Please instruct your broker to contact us to ensure that crediting of the gift is handled effectively and efficiently.

    Legacy Giving

Planned giving enables you to make significant contributions that might not be possible during your lifetime.  You may include the Carroll Community College Foundation in your will by leaving a percentage of your estate, a specific dollar amount, or by naming the Foundation as residual beneficiary of your estate.  Consult your attorney or other estate planning professional to ensure proper execution of your planned gift.

A gift of a life insurance policy provides a wonderful legacy to the College.  Transfer actual ownership of a policy (perhaps one that is no longer needed for its original purpose) or buy a new policy for the College’s benefit.  Consult with your insurance professional to learn of the types of insurance gifts that you can make.

You may name the Foundation as beneficiary of a portion of your retirement savings.  Please contact your investment advisor for further details.

To create an endowed fund is to make a gift that lasts forever. An endowment is composed of groups of assets held in a way that the sum of the gift is invested for perpetuity.  A portion of the investment proceeds are used to provide a dependable stream of income to support long-term funding for ongoing college programs or activities, student scholarships or instructional equipment to keep up with new technologies.

A Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) is a simple agreement between you and the Carroll Community College Foundation that provides fixed payments to you for life in exchange for your gift.  There is no cost to you to establish the agreement and no costs at all to maintain it.

By funding a CGA, you will provide valuable support to Carroll Community College, receive a charitable income tax deduction, and fixed payments for your lifetime or the lifetime of a loved one.  The College and students will benefit from the remainder of your gift after your lifetime payments.

    Annual Giving

The Annual Campaign and President’s Society provide funding for current needs.  All money raised through these initiatives is used during the same year it is received.  Yearly contributions to the Carroll Community College Foundation help sustain the vitality of Carroll Community College and the community it serves.  Gifts to this Campaign have an impact on every student’s educational experience and by extension our community.  Through gifts at all giving levels, donors express their confidence in the mission and vision of Carroll Community College.

The influence of your gift to Carroll Community College is seen in more than dollars.  Gifts become textbooks for students, innovative technology for teaching, professional development for faculty and an opportunity for students to participate in learning activities outside of the classroom.  It helps prepare our students to meet the critical workforce needs of our county today and in the years ahead, making the future brighter for themselves and their families.

Every donation contributes to making higher education achievable for students of all ages.

President’s Society is a leadership annual giving group for Carroll Community College.  Membership is achieved with a minimum gift of $1,000 to the Foundation.
