Behavioral Intervention Team

  • The Carroll Community College BIT is a dedicated group of school officials who meet regularly to collect and review information about at-risk community members and develop intervention plans to assist them. Our experienced team members address student behavioral concerns that are not living up to Carroll’s mission of providing a nonthreatening environment where everyone feels safe and secure.

The BIT addresses critical student behavioral or mental health concerns through the review of situations/incidents, information gathering and sharing, and providing recommendations to ensure the safety and educational success of the student. The BIT does not replace other classroom management or disciplinary processes nor does it address student behaviors that require immediate health, police or mental health attention.

For emergency/imminent threat: contact Campus Police at 410-386-8123 or dial 911
