Erin Nicole Finn, 19, is a criminal justice student at Carroll Community College. She received a scholarship from the Carroll Community College Foundation which made it possible for her to attend college. She credits the Foundation and its donors for all of the success she has achieved as a result.

“The scholarship I received has been incredibly helpful to defray the costs of going to college, including the cost of books,” said Finn. “I am truly unable to put into words how incredibly grateful I am for donors’ contributions. Thanks to Foundation donors, it is possible for students like me to obtain a quality higher education in pursuit of my dreams. Although I am still searching for what particular path to take in life, I have narrowed my interests within the fields of Criminal Justice and Public Policy. I hope to positively contribute to the future of law enforcement.”

Finn was initially accepted into a four-year university before choosing Carroll. She decided that Carroll’s overall affordability, combined with the assistance of a scholarship, made the community college the best choice. She said the faculty at Carroll provide excellent instruction, with mastery of their subjects, and that they convey a passion for teaching.

“I plan to graduate in spring 2017 and to transfer to a university. Right now, at Carroll, I am able to balance my school and part-time work,” said Finn. “I made the right choice to attend Carroll.”
