Career & Employment Resources

Deciding on what career path to pursue can sometimes be a challenge, especially since there are so many choices in today's workplace. Carroll provides the following services to help students decide which career path they may want to investigate.

Career Workshops

Career Development is a lifetime journey.  Most people will change career paths three or four times during their lives. Our career workshops are designed to help you make important decisions. Are you undecided and uncertain about how to begin making a career decision? Do you need help writing a resume?  Are you unsure how to organize your job search?  Attend any of our workshops and then schedule a follow-up appointment with the career counselor to discuss your specific needs.

Career workshops will be held throughout each semester. The topics will include career exploration using DISCOVER, resumes, interviewing and networking/job search.  Space is limited to the first 25 people and registration is required. You will receive a room assignment at the time of registration. To register call Student Life at 410-386-8500.

  • Career Decision Making: Come learn about how your interests, abilities and values connect to career choices.  As part of this workshop, you will use the DISCOVER program to investigate the possibilities open to you.  You must pick up your DISCOVER log-in in Room 118 and complete the interest, abilities and values inventory prior to the workshop.
