Respiratory Illness
Core prevention strategies are essential practices recommended for everyone. They provide a foundation of protection for you, your loved ones, and the college community. The college recommends following CDC guidance for prevention and preventing the spread of respiratory illnesses:
Do not come to campus, or leave campus if already here, if you:
- Have a temperature reading of 100.4 or higher; or
- Test Positive for COVID-19 and are symptomatic; or
- Have symptoms of Respiratory Illness or other unexplained illness including but not limited to the following:
- Chills
- Unexplained Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- FatigueMuscle or body aches
- Unexplained Headache
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Unexplained Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
You may return to campus when you:
- Are fever free for 24 hours without fever reducing medication; or,
- Symptoms have resolved.
