New students starting in the Fall 2020 Term, including
students transferring in from another college and dual enrollment students,
should attend New Student Orientation.
of COVID-19, all of our New Student Orientation sessions will be held remotely
through Microsoft Teams. Our program will be broken down into multiple mini
sessions through August 17-20 and August 24-27. The first week will cover broader
information about starting at Carroll while the second week will dive into your
Area of Study as well as engagement opportunities.

individual orientation sessions. There are a number of sessions that are held
over two weeks for you to get prepared to start at Carroll. In most cases there
are at least two session dates and times for you to pick from. You only need to
one session on each topic.
The Parent Session was held on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Parents can access the recorded session below to review information. If you have any questions, about material in the parent session, please contact Dr. Kristie Crumley, Associate Provost of Student Affairs and Marketing.
All links for sessions will
be sent out the Friday before. If you need to receive another copy of your
links, please email email@example.com. Students can also access information
and links via the Canvas New Student Orientation site. From the Carroll home
page, click on My Carroll, Canvas and enter your Carroll login, and then click
on the New Student Orientation tile on your Canvas dashboard.
Your attendance and participation are expected! Students who
do not participate in our virtual sessions are expected to view the materials
and recordings on Canvas. Recordings
will be available 1-2 days after the session has taken place.

sessions, it is recommended that you use a device with a camera and microphone
so that you can fully participate. Test your device before the start of the
session and log in a few minutes before the start time so you have time to
troubleshoot any issues.
note that all sessions will be recorded and be made available for students who
are unable to attend the live virtual sessions. All sessions will be posted on
Canvas for students to access and those who don’t attend a live session are
expected to review all material online.

to your schedule based on your class format preference.
